I was on the train and i read an article about how the americans (again) have invented, or is inenting an umbrella which tells you when it will rain.

Basically, what is it is an umbrella with an inbuilt radio reciever in its handle and that handle recieves data from the forcasting website. In other words, its like an umbrella which can connect to the internet!

Anyway, to my point. I think this is a great idea, but not suitable for an unbrella, beucase seriously, I would not spend so much money on an umbrella, like I don’t really care if it knows when its going to rain beucase I usually have bad luck with the weather. However, its a great idea for the Iphone. I already have the idea about suing holographics, and if I am able to input this thing where this hologram is able to tell me certain things at certain times…it would serisouly be more than just a phone. It would be my new best friend!

well well, amazing me thought of an idea.

Thanks to the help of a good friend ( Emma). I’m going to possibly use three dimensions as my main feature!

I wanted my phone to be not only just a phone which that well, only intereacts with the user, but with the users friends and family. So far, I thought of using the GPS application, BUT! not only to tell you directions, before I give away all my ideas, i better go off and do some research.

OH! Guess what people, the HTC…owned by dopod, has a new touch screen phone, which amazingly, looks very similar to the Iphone, and does the same things as the Iphone. Well I think those americans better stop acting like they are the top of the world and realise that they have competition.

After Rob’s lecture today, and after a few days of research, I was able to gather some information about current touch screen mobile phone. Besides Apple’s latest “Iphone”, Dopod and Palm also have released touch pad mobile phones.

I found out today that the Iphone however will be using the 2G network, meaning no video calling. Where as Dopod and Palm are already using 3 or 3.5g network.

 Overall, the americans are very proud of what they think will change how the humans will see the a phone. The Iphone, is Ipod, handphone and internet all as one product. There are no keys, joystick of scroller, it is simply a touch screen. By moving your fingers up down, the screen will move up and down. By double clicking or moving two fingers apart the screen in zoom in.

The downfall to this phone I think is that is doesn’t really intereact well with other people. There is alot of intereaction between the phone and the user, but I think adding some devices which allows the user and their friends and family intereact with each other? how about that?
